Initial Assessment

Your first step with us is a gentle 45 minute assessment session with one of our lead counsellors. This time is simply an opportunity for us to get to know you, what has brought you to counselling, what you’re hoping for, and what you feel able to afford.

We may ask about any previous counselling you’ve had, as well as a little about your personal or family history, but only at a pace that feels comfortable for you. We fully understand that starting counselling can feel daunting, so your assessor will meet you with warmth, care, and reassurance, guiding you through the process and answering any questions you might have.

After the assessment, we will match you with a counsellor who we feel will be a good fit for your needs. There may occasionally be a short wait depending on availability, but we will keep you informed and updated every step of the way.
